- It should look modern
- It should look striking
- Most of the chrome is on the bottom of the car and at the rear so there should be a good contrast between shiny chrome and the paint colour
- It should look original
- Lighter colours on top can make the car look taller
- Darker colours on top make the car look lower
- The top colour is what will dominate the back of the car
1. Silver over Blue
2. Silver over Red
Both options 1 and 2 would look like this from behind

Both options 3 and 4 would look like this from behind
5. Red with Blue Flames
6. Red over Silver
Both options 5 sand 6 would look like this from behind
7. Black over Red
8. Black over Blue
Both options 7 and 8 would look like this from behind

ReplyDeleteYou betcha Robin. Thats all the models had though, so had to go with that.
ReplyDeleteSubaru (hate to say it)
ReplyDeleteMatt Very Dark Purple over Very Dark Purple (not sure about the colour name but is current colour)
Silver is very elegant and never seems to go out of style and would look good on the top because that way whatever color is used on the bottom should contrast well with the chrome. Just my 2 cents...
ReplyDeleteThanks Paul and Kevin. All suggestions welcome at this stage. Not sure about purple though isn't the purple Telly Tubby batting for the other team? Ha ha!
ReplyDeleteBlack over Candy red mate, cant beat a good old classic paint job like that. Never gets old. Unlike us.

Hi Colin I like the red over silver. That said what about the silver being a little champaign metallic-like and a green instead of red - the green would be a bit like the 2007 Detroit autorama ridler award winner. Phil
ReplyDeleteCheers Clayton. I like black over red too, but its been done already by so many. It's become a bit cliche. Still on the list though.
ReplyDeletePhil....I like it. I really do like some of those new greens, like the one that is out on the new Commodores and the Suzuki Swifts. Janine made the same suggestion about a Champagne silver too. I quite like that idea.
Cheers.....but now I'm really confused!
